At some point, the next presidential elections will be around the corner, and there is no question that the environmental issue, and in this case climate in particular, will not be addressed seriously.

Context

Europe is in danger. Trump and Putin possess the weapons of power: oil and gas. We no longer have them. To reclaim our destiny and stop the climate catastrophe, we must move away from fossil fuels.

This mission will mobilize dozens of engineers, scientists, and professionals from as many economic sectors as possible. The Shift Project will produce numerous reports and a book based on this work.

What is the Shift Project?

“The Shift Project is a think tank that aims to inform and influence the debate on climate and energy challenges. We are a non-profit organization. Our members are mostly businesses. Guided by the requirement of scientific and technical rigor, our view of the economy is primarily physical and systemic.”

We conduct studies on the key challenges of decarbonization. We establish working groups that produce robust quantitative and qualitative analyses, as well as pragmatic proposals . Our research approach is open, iterative, and collaborative.

Our publications are freely accessible to anyone interested . We distribute them to professionals, managers, and intermediary bodies in the relevant sectors and on the issues at hand. This network of experts is constantly engaged to strengthen our work and help us raise awareness of it. We encourage non-partisan discussions among stakeholders.
