How does UNICEF help children and families in Ukraine?

UNICEF is working tirelessly to scale up its programs that are essential for children’s survival. These include:

• Increase efforts to meet the vital and growing needs of the population in different sectors (drinking water, health, education and protection);
• Preposition emergency health and hygiene kits and school supplies as close as possible to communities bordering the front line;
• Collaborating with municipalities to ensure immediate support for children and families in need;
• Supporting mobile teams providing psychosocial support to children traumatized by chronic insecurity;
• Continue urgent efforts to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, including working with municipalities to increase vaccination rates against the disease and intensifying awareness-raising and capacity-building efforts.
