AlphAroma is the near twin of Rakau™ from New Zealand. Almost because, of course, it's not from the same terroir, here it's from Spain, but twin all the same because it's the hop that's closest to it. And since Rakau is no longer in production, we're delighted to be able to offer you a substitute!
AlphAroma was developed in New Zealand in the early 1970s, but commercialized in the early 1980s. The balance of its oils makes it an excellent dual hop, providing a sustained bitterness in addition to well-presented aromas.
