Description

Available since 1985, Chinook has steadily gained in popularity. It is one of the top ten hops used by craft breweries in the United States, particularly because it is excellent at all stages of brewing and can be used in both Aromaticand Bittering. Chinook is a cross between Petham Golding and an American male.

Flavours: Lemon, Grapefruit, Spices

Use: Lager, IPA, Pale Ale, Stout, Porter

Acids:

Alpha: 11 - 15%.
Beta: 3 - 4%.
Cohumulone: 27 - 35%.

Cumulative oils: 1.5 - 2.5ml/100g

Possible substitutes: Galena, Colombus, Eroica, Northern Brewer, Nugget, Zeus
