Description

COMET is a hop native to the USA, first introduced in the early 1970s. It's the kind of hop that won't leave you indifferent! So, it's been around for a while, and it's one of the hops with the most differences between the different reviews you'll find online, that's for sure. Some don't like its aroma at all, others love it. Go figure... On the nose, some say pineapple, on the palate more citrus/grapefruit.

Contained alphas should not overshadow a significant cohumulone content, which brings a frank bitterness; you know where you stand!

Aromas: Pineapple, Citrus, Grapefruit

Usage: IPA, Double IPA, NEIPA, Lager, American Ale

Acids:

Alpha: 8 - 12.5% (in %)
Beta: 3 - 6%.
Cohumulone: 36 - 45

Cumulative oils: 1.98 ml/100g

Possible substitutes: Galena, Summit
