The genesis
After settling in southern Burgundy, Jean-Sébastien (JS) and Leïa are rebuilding their professional lives. Leïa wants to stop her waste management consulting business, and JS is doing various things, including working in an organic brewery 😉
Several times he mentions the difficulty of sourcing organic hops, and Leïa’s curiosity, as she dreams of something different, is piqued. She researches this plant, discovers it, “falls in love” with it, and the new professional project takes shape:
to make life easier for hop producers who do not wish to do retail sales AND to make life easier for brewers by sourcing a catalogue of organic hops for them.
It’s 2017, HOPSTORE is born!
Leïa rushes to Envie for the first fridges, explores the possibilities and finds the first certified organic hops which she offers for retail sale, without waiting on an online store.
The transformation
JS is never far away, and in 2020 he partnered with HOPSTORE. Naturally, Leïa focuses on the plant side and sourcing, while JS is in contact with our brewery clients, handling the beer side 😉
In 2021, and after numerous requests from you, we launched the supply contracts. Gaëlle joined us at that time to help us pamper you and ensure the smooth running of everything.
