CANOPEE and its missions
As the last frontiers, forests are bearing the brunt of our insatiable consumption of natural resources and energy. But resistance is growing worldwide. Because the forest is life. A reservoir of biodiversity, a source of water, a natural carbon sink, the forest is a source of inspiration for imagining a transition towards fairer and more sustainable societies. Canopée champions the vision of living forests, in harmony with human societies, where the rights of those who protect them are recognized.
Canopée is a citizen counter-power dedicated to the protection of forests in France and around the world.
Understand and Act
Canopée has published two comprehensive reports online to help understand the main dangers threatening our forests:

So deep down we know about it, but frankly, it’s chilling.
What we particularly appreciate is that CANOPEE is an NGO deeply rooted in action. Things are happening! Here’s an overview of their current campaigns :
