You give…what do you mean?

As the French influencer @lenasituations so aptly puts it: “When you receive, you give” 😉

So this is a new feature for 2022 at HOPSTORE and we were inspired by the 1% for the Planet movement: we decided to donate 1% of our monthly revenue to a different charity/cause every month.

In turn, members of the HOPSTORE ecosystem (collaborators and partners) will choose who to give to.

We’ll do it by drawing lots, so it’s not the boss who gets to keep the best months. Haha

We won’t be disclosing the amounts donated, BUT we will post a short article here on the blog each month to highlight the charity/cause we’ve supported. If you’re interested 😉

So once again, buying from HOPSTORE means buying certified organic, but not only that !

Aid and Action

So we’re starting with the humanitarian organization Aide et Action .

Here is a presentation (taken directly from their website):

In 1981, upon returning from a trip to India, this HEC graduate decided to create an association whose mission would be to advance education for all populations. He launched an individual child sponsorship program in France to promote education. The initiative was a success, and the first programs opened in Kenya and India. During the 1990s, the association expanded, launching the sponsorship of classes and then projects. Over time, as its activities grew and local human resources became more prominent in its teams, its methods of intervention evolved from providing assistance to focusing on development initiatives.

From 1998 onwards, Aide et Action emphasized listening to local communities, who were the creators and driving forces behind their educational and development projects. In 2004, the organization decided to internationalize its governance and chose to base its project on four fundamental principles: shared decision-making, regional autonomy, shared responsibility for the organization’s development, and resource pooling.

In 2007, Aide et Action International was born, an entity intended to bring together all of its regional associations: Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia and then Latin America and the Caribbean, alongside France, a founding member.

Today, Aide et Action is a development association through education, which has been ensuring access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalized populations for 40 years, particularly children, girls and women, so that everyone can take control of their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.

Because access to quality education helps combat poverty and disease, mitigate climate change, and build peace in a sustainable world, we promote lifelong learning. Therefore, we pay particular attention to early childhood education and protection, access to and quality of education at the primary and secondary levels, as well as vocational training and social integration.

By basing our intervention on the values ​​of dignity, inclusion and integrity, as well as on the principles of action of transparency, accountability and solidarity, and thanks to the support of our 51,000 donors, we are carrying out more than 83 projects in Africa, Asia, Europe – and especially in France – for more than 1.9 million children, young people and adults.
