Description

Introduced to the market in the 1970s, Hersbrucker’s resistance to various diseases has allowed it to gain ground over the years. This is precisely why it was developed: to resist verticillium wilt and gradually replace the susceptible Mittelfrüh variety.

With low alpha and cohumulone content, it develops pleasant, well-balanced aromas of fruit, spice, and flowers. It has been very commonly used in German lagers.

Characteristics : This is a very mild hop. Earth, hay, tobacco and citrus notes.

Use : Lager, Pilsner, Wheat, Bock, Kolsch, Dunkel

Acids :

  • Alpha: 2 – 6%
  • Beta: 4-7%
  • Cohumulone: ​​18-25%

Total oils : 0.5 – 1ml/100g
