Millennium hops originated from John I. Haas’s hop development program in the United States and were released in 2000 (hence the name!). A direct descendant of Nugget hops, it develops a similar aromatic profile. Its main advantage is its increased disease resistance and improved shelf life. It is classified as a “Super Alpha” hop. Its high cohumulone content (between 28% and 35%) makes it a powerful bittering agent!
