The Phoenix originated in the United Kingdom, where it was developed in the early 1990s by Wye College . Initially, it was intended to replace the Challenger, which suffered from numerous problems. Today, both are available on the market, and that’s a good thing!
Characteristics : Spices, earth. Quite a lot of spice on the nose and palate. A pleasant and mild bitterness.
Uses : Porter, Stout, English Ales, IPA

- Alpha: 8.3 – 13.5%
- Beta: 3 – 5.5%
- Cohumulone: 23-33%
