Ab der Ernte 2024 wird Amarillo-Hopfen in den Vereinigten Staaten nicht mehr biologisch angebaut. Als Ersatz kann man auf Hopfen aus Neuseeland zurückgreifen.
Für einen ähnlichen Effekt können Sie Chinook (für die harzige Note) und Motueka (für die Zitrusnote) kombinieren.
AMARILLO® • ORGANIC
Amarillo hops are no longer produced organically in the United States starting with the 2024 harvest. To replace them, you can rely on hops from New Zealand.
For a similar effect, you can combine Chinook (for the resinous aspect) and Motueka (for the citrus aspect).

To fully appreciate its aromas, here are a few tips:
- -Do not skimp on the dose: Minimum 5g/L
- -The Late Hopping / Off-fire temperature must be below 75°C
- -The DH during fermentation must last at least 3 days at 20°C

„Man sagt manchmal, dass die aromatischsten Hopfensorten die Fehler eines Bieres überdecken können… Cashmere US ist besonders kräftig und weist mitunter Litschi-Noten auf. Sein spanisches Pendant steht ihm in nichts nach, und die Noten exotischer Früchte sind sehr präsent.“
Um die Aromen vollends genießen zu können, hier ein paar Tipps:
- -Die Dosis sollte nicht unterschritten werden: Mindestens 5 g/L
- -Die Temperatur beim späten Abschalten der Flamme muss unter 75 °C liegen.
- -Die DH-Phase während der Gärung muss mindestens 3 Tage bei 20 °C dauern.
