Pilgrim is a hop native to the UK where it was developed by the famous Wye College. It is a sibling of First Gold and Herald and is one of those 'dwarf' hop varieties. It was released in 2000.
Characteristics: A spicy, grassy nose that resembles Target. On the palate it is very "hoppy" and green/herbal too. Pear for some.
Usage: Pale Ales, English Ales, IPA
Acids:
- Alpha: 9.5 - 13%.
- Beta: 4 - 5%.
- Cohumulone: 33 - 35%.
Cumulative oils: 1.3 - 1.8ml/100g
