Celeia is the offspring of the Styrian Golding, theAurora and a wild Slovenian male. It was developed by the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research and Brewing to improve the agronomic properties of Savinjski Golding while retaining its attractive characteristics. Today, this hop is recognized for its balanced profile.
Styrian Celeia can be used as a light Bittering , but it is even more interesting as a late addition or dry hopping for Pale Ale, Brown Ale or a wide range of Belgian-style beers.
It is one of the so-called "noble" hops and develops more floral notes than the Styrian Gold or the Fuggle.
